Diamond Foods Launches Feed Your Fingers Campaign

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 06, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- DMND | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Diamond Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ: DMND | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) today announced that it has launched a multi-faceted campaign, Feed Your Fingers, that capitalizes on the growing popularity of finger foods and creates opportunity for all three of the company's trademarks -- Diamond(R), Emerald(R) and Pop Secret(R). The campaign, which will run from October through February, will provide consumers with recipes and simple entertainment tips that can be used when attending or hosting a holiday get-together.

"This campaign is based on consumer insights and can leverage our culinary and snack brands," said Craig Tokusato, Vice President of Marketing. "As economic uncertainty continues, we're providing consumers with recipes and entertainment tips that make cooking and entertaining easier, so when family and friends come together, they're able to spend quality time with one another."

The Feed Your Fingers campaign includes multiple elements aimed at reaching consumers both in-store and at home:

-- Feed Your Fingers sweepstakes for $10,000 or tickets to next year's biggest football game

-- In-store promotional pieces encouraging consumer purchase and participation in sweepstakes

-- A microsite, feedyourfingers.com, that will provide consumers with recipes and entertainment tips

-- Media relations efforts targeting food-oriented online and print publications

Diamond Foods is also teaming up with retail partners to bring recipe and entertainment solutions to consumers around the country. Look for the Feed Your Fingers promotion at your nearest retailer and online at feedyourfingers.com.
