The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the swine flu a pandemic, and the CDC has reported that cases of swine flu will continue to grow through fall and winter of 2009. In order to avoid overwhelming physician and clinic offices, the CDC is encouraging those with swine flu symptoms to stay home until their symptoms have passed. Employers and schools are encouraged to allow students and employees to stay home without requiring a physician's note.
