MusicSkins Signs Merchandising Agreement with Hot Topic

Oct 05, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- HOTT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- MusicSkins, a developer of music-related vinyl skin products for iPods, MP3 players, cell phones, PDAs, laptops, Netbooks, gaming accessories and external hard drives, announced that MusicSkins skins featuring cover art from band Paramore's new CD "Brand New Eyes" will be merchandised exclusively through Hot Topic stores across the U.S.

MusicSkins noted it secured exclusive licensing rights to market skins of the CD cover art from Paramore's record label, "Fueled By Ramen". The "Brand New Eyes" cover art skins will be available through Hot Topic's 685 retail outlets, from HotTopic.com and directly from MusicSkins.com.

"Hot Topic totally gets the rock culture and understands what this young, edgy, hip market wants, so they are a perfect retail partner for us since that's exactly the market our products are targeted to," said Jed Seifert, MusicSkins Executive VP. "We're thrilled to be building a relationship with such a well respected merchandiser of music-related gear and accessories and making our first step into the mainstream consumer retail market with them. We look forward to working with Hot Topic on merchandising skins for other hot bands.

The "Brand New Eyes" skins will be available for the iPod Nano 4, iPod Classic, iPod Touch 2 and iPhone 3Gs/3G/2G. Like all MusicSkins products, these skins are made of vinyl that provides a high-gloss photo grade finish and durable, scratch-resistant, anti-UV coating. Patented 3M air release adhesive technology ensures that they apply bubble-free.
