"The Total Access 5000 Ethernet solution allows us to leverage our infrastructure for the delivery of Ethernet services while guaranteeing Quality of Service (QoS) in the access network," said Jim Vermeulen, executive VP of operations, Cavalier. "We required a carrier-class platform with redundancy and a portfolio of Ethernet capabilities to offer our business customers. The Adtran solution offers all of this in a platform with significant future capacity."

"The introduction of the Ethernet access solution by Cavalier continues to strengthen our long-term business relationship," said P. "Service providers like Cavalier need a logical way to enhance their service offerings while leveraging their installed infrastructure."

Adtran's Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF)-certified solution provides carriers with a set of traffic management, QoS and measurement capabilities. These features allow carriers to offer SLA-based services to their end-user customers.
