The annual GTB Power100 recognizes the 100 most powerful and influential people in the global telecommunications industry. GTB Editor Alan Burkitt-Gray cited Holcombe's leadership of Syniverse during a time that has included several strategic acquisitions and significant expansion of the company's global footprint. The Power100 is created based on nominations from GTB readers and other telecom leaders.
Holcombe also was re-elected as a member of the CTIA Board of Directors. Holcombe and Syniverse maintain an active involvement with the organization in leadership positions that range from board level to individual work committees and work that encompasses everything from unearthing intricate operator needs to creating technical standards.
