Ball spent $2.5 million to expand its pilot manufacturing line at a Broomfield-area facility to include a new palletizer, a decorator and other improvements, officials announced Thursday.
Officials said the improvements give Ball the ability to: produce between 10 and 50,000 aluminum cans or Alumi-Tek bottles for testing or small product launches; produce a range of can sizes in diameter, height and volume; and test graphics innovations such as Eyeris high-definition printing, thermochromatic ink and matte finish.
