The state-run Texas Emerging Technology fund announced new investments in nine Dallas-area companies Thursday:
-- 2Cimple Inc. is receiving $1.5 million to commercialize its interactive online video software.
-- Advanced Receiver Technologies is receiving $250,000 to develop technology to improve broadband connections on 3G wireless phones.
-- Bynari is receiving $1.5 million to commercialize its software that allows interoperability between Microsoft Outlook and other e-mail software.
-- Device Fidelity Inc. is receiving $3 million to commercialize its technology that allows banking transactions on cellphones.
-- iLearning Gateway is receiving $1 million to develop its student tutoring software.
-- Interoperate.biz Inc. is receiving $250,000 to commercialize its program that translates older computer software into modern code.
-- Net.orange is receiving $1.9 million to develop its software for monitoring medical patients.
-- OnTrack Imaging Inc. is receiving $250,000 to commercialize its ultrasound imaging system for horses.
-- Varaha Systems Inc. is receiving $1.5 million to commercialize its communication software for mobile devices.
