Smith announces that a securities class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of purchasers of the common stock of EnergySolutions, Inc. ("EnergySolutions" or the "Company") (NYSE:ES) pursuant or traceable to the Company's initial public offering on or about November 14, 2007 (the "IPO") and the Company's offering of securities on or about July 24, 2008 (the "July 2008 Offering"), as well as purchasers of the Company's common stock between November 14, 2007 and October 14, 2008, inclusive (the "Class Period"). The class action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The Complaint alleges that the defendants violated federal securities laws by issuing a series of material misrepresentations to the market concerning EnergySolutions' business, prospects and financial condition, thereby artificially inflating the price of the Company's securities.
