It is part of a fund-raising campaign launched in July by the Ferrellgas offices in Fayetteville, Aberdeen and Lumberton to raise money for programs for military personnel stationed at Fort Bragg.
During the month of July, Ferrellgas, which employs more than 500 veterans nationwide, including Chief Executive Officer Jim Ferrell, donated $5 to the USO of North Carolina for every residential delivery the Aberdeen office made that was more than 75 gallons.
In addition, Ferrellgas will be donating a portion of the proceeds from propane sales made from its camouflaged truck over the next year.
"We make no secret about our support for our men and women in uniform and we're proud to have so many of them now wearing the Ferrellgas uniform," said Steve Wambold, Ferrellgas president and chief operating officer.
"We can never repay them for their service to us all, but we're going to keep finding new ways to try."
