But while there was a big sales increase in Kennedale, the median sales price there remained flat, at $193,400.
Northeast Arlington experienced the largest drop in home sales in Tarrant County last month, falling 55 percent from September 2008. It also recorded a 15 percent decline in the median sales price, to $161,500.
In Arlington, the west central area was the only one with increased sales, but it also saw a drop in the median home price, 4 percent to $118,420, according to monthly figures from the Texas A&M Real Estate Center.
The center compiles sales figures from the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems.
The west central and southwest areas of Fort Worth, which includes TCU, had a 52 percent increase in sales and a 6 percent increase in the median sales price, to $132,000.
Sales were also strong in Keller, up 32 percent from a year earlier, yet it had one of the larger drops in the median sales price, 22 percent to $225,000.
The median sales price fell 24 percent in September in southeast Fort Worth, to $24,900.
East central Arlington and the Haltom City area had double-digit gains in the median sales price last month.
