In that issue, Staff Writer Christopher Calnan penned an article called "New way to link shops, customers debuts; Vying for business via instant messaging." Calnan was present at the Austin, TX, unveiling of the "SOLVE" doorway, about which he said, "At its most basic, 'SOLVE' is an online tool that enables consumers to send instant messages to several businesses at once to get them to compete with each other on prices."
He was also impressed with the performance of eDoorways CEO Gary Kimmons. "Gary Kimmons hit the stage in Austin last week, channeling Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs, to launch a new online tool developed by Kimmons' company, eDoorways Corp.," stated Calnan.
