PowerRating -- 10/12/2009-Shares of National Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:NSM) may show heavy volume Monday after the company announced its Chief Executive Officer Brian Halla will step down. Halla, will remain the company's chairman, and the CEO position will go to Donald Macleod, effective November 30, 2009. Macleod, 61, currently serves as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). "Strongly deserved," said Brian Halla. "This is 'the house that Donnie built', and he deserves to be its chief executive. I'll stay on through the 'rainy season' to make sure there are no leaks in the roof."
