South Stanly (5-2, 2-1 YVC) racked up 563 total yards in the victory, including 412 rushing yards.
Detric Allen enjoyed another productive night in his second start of the season at running back for the Bulls. The senior had 139 yards rushing and two touchdowns, along with 62 yards receiving. It was the second straight week that Allen has amassed over 200 all-purpose yards.
South freshman Anthony Smith added 60 yards on just six carries with a touchdown.
Bulls starting quarterback Jalen Holt was solid in the pocket for South, completing 9-of-16 passes for 151 yards. Holt also rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
The defense was stalwart for South, allowing 211 total yards on offense. In seven games, South has only allowed 69 total points.
"We got after it tonight. We have not practiced on any plays, just hit the sleds for three straight weeks," South head coach Luke Little said.
South Stanly hosts West Montgomery this Friday in a battle of two teams tied for second place in the Yadkin Valley. Kickoff is at 7.
