DJ Brazil's ETH To Supply 150M Liters Of Ethanol To Braskem
BAK | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Brazilian ethanol company ETH Bioenergia said Tuesday it has signed a deal to supply 150 million liters of ethanol to compatriot petrochemicals company Braskem SA (BAK, BRKM5.BR).
The deal is for three years and should start in the second half of 2010, said Luiz Pereira, ETH Bioenergia's director of human resources and sustainability.
ETH Bioenergia, which is the ethanol subsidiary of conglomerate Odebrecht, also said Tuesday it would start operations of its new mill in Mato Grosso do Sul state on Oct. 14.
ETH Bioenergia will also inaugurate another mill, Unidade Conquista do Pontal, in Sao Paulo state on Oct. 30, Pereira said.
Brazil is the world's No.1 sugarcane-ethanol producer.
