His diverse background includes serving as a state examiner for the Ohio State Auditors Office. Shivers received a master's in business administration from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, and his bachelor's from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio. "I see tremendous opportunities in the Akron/Canton region and I look forward to contributing to Huntington's future success." Shivers is a graduate of Leadership Mahoning Valley and is active in the community, having held a variety of United Way volunteer and leadership positions. He also serves as a fundraiser for the Red Cross and is the past chairman of the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges.
