San Diego-based Cubic received the contract through a foreign-military-sales program led by the Orlando-based Army Program Executive Office for simulation and training technology.
Terms call for Cubic to provide battalion-sized training systems, instrumentation and support services to mobile training centers for the Jordanian military.
Cubic officials said the company beat out rival bids to take home the deal.
"The Jordanian Armed Forces selected Cubic's system after extensive evaluation of competing systems and visits to U.S. Army training sistes," said Cubic Defense Applications Vice President John Naff, in a written statement. Jordan's military can deploy the mobile training center anywhere in the world, Naff said.
Deliver of the new combat training center is scheduled for 2010. The company will also operate and maintain the center as part of the deal.
