ISTANBUL, TURKEY, Oct 15, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- CNH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- New Holland has further extended its range of specialised tractors with the introduction of the new TDF Series, designed to win over customers with specialised needs such as orchards, olive groves, wide vineyards and full-field horticulture farms. The new family of TDF tractors, which will serve the needs of farmers in many markets including South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Australia and New Zealand, is the ideal solution for those farmers working in specialised farming who need a simple, robust tractor with up-to-date technological features.

The all-new New Holland TDF specialty range answers the need for an affordable and reliable 'Orchard' / 'Frutteto' tractor which completes the existing 'high technology' T4000F series. The new TDF range is a modern successor of the popular Fiatagri 86 Series.

In line with New Holland's advanced and functional design, the new TDF is completely designed and built at the New Holland plant (Tuerk Traktoer) in Ankara, Turkey. The series is composed of three models, all with four-wheel drive as standard, and powered by proven Tier 2 emission compliant three cylinder 8000S Series engines. The three models, featuring 69, 76 and 84 HP are fully compatible with Bio DIESEL B20 to standard EN 14214 or ASTM D6751.

Compact, productive and versatile

Thanks to its reduced front wheel track width, the TDF tractor series suits the 1.5m width limit requested by the majority of horticulture operations, while the tight-turning four-wheel drive front axle provides maximum agility, even in narrow spaces.

Electro-hydraulic control of the four-wheel drive and differential-lock engagement, suspended pedals and laterally mounted gearshift levers are standard on all TDF models. All other controls are ergonomically positioned, making them easy to use while reducing operators' fatigue.

The innovative 80 litre fuel tank design is of particular interest. As well as allowing a full day's work without the need to refuel, it also functions as an access step and a footrest: a patented New Holland feature.

The 45 L/min main hydraulic pump provides ample flow for specialised applications, while the lower link sensing HPL has an impressive lift capacity of 3,000 kg at the ball ends. A separate 26 L/min steering pump ensures full flow is always available for steering without affecting the main hydraulic circuit.

The standard 12x12 synchromesh transmission, with synchronised forward/reverse shuttle further increases the versatility of the TDF tractors, while the optional 20x12 creeper, providing minimum speeds as low as 200 m/h at rated engine speed, is ideal for specific applications.

The independent PTO is available with two rated speeds: 540 and optional 540/540E rpm, which bestow the TDF tractors with their exceptional productivity.
