"There are no constraints...and we will be able to achieve the 15,000 MW by December, 2009," CMD BHEL B P Rao told reporters here.
The company which has an order book of Rs 1,250 billion (US$27 billion) hopes to get new contracts worth about Rs 200 billion during the current fiscal year.
BHEL has lined up a capital expenditure of Rs 24 billion for 2009-10. It further plans to manufacture equipment that can generate 20,000 MW electricity by 2012.
The company registered a turnover of Rs 280.33 billion in the financial year 2008-09 and a net profit of Rs 31.38 billion during the same period.
