Marti Heinbaugh was promoted to Santa Clarita Valley's regional manager for Sun Valley-based Mission Valley Bank. She previously was manager of the bank's Centre Pointe Office.
Kelly Darren: The CPA has been named director of support services for BlackLine Systems, a Calabasas-based financial software provider. She previously held senior financial management positions at Chrysler, Takata and Armstrong-White.
June Ebensteiner: The Calabasas resident, an early advocate of hospice care, spoke Thursday at the dedication of two palliative-care suites at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. She recently contributed $400,000 to the project from the June Ebeinsteiner Hospice Foundation, established after her young son-in-law died of cancer.
Stephen Berman: The president and co-CEO of JAKKS Pacific received the Corporate Humanitarian Award from Operation Smile, which assists children with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. Employees of the Malibu-based toymaker donated more than $200,000 to the charity.
Arbors at Warner Center: The 250-unit complex in Warner Center has been purchased for $33 million by an affiliate of The Swig Co., headquartered in San Francisco, and an institutional real-estate investment fund managed by Capmark Investments.
HealthGrades: The independent health care ratings organization ranked Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center first in the state for gastrointestinal surgery and received five-star ratings for treatment heart surgery and treatment of heart failure, hip fractures, pneumonia and obstructive pulmonary disease. HealthGrades also gave five-star ratings to Providence Tarzana Medical Center for treating heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia and for GI surgeries and procedures; and to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center for repairing hip fractures, performing appendectomies and managing gastrointestinal bleeding. Providence Holy Cross received nine five-star ratings treatment of heart failure, stroke, pulmonary services, pneumonia and several other services including gastrointestinal care.
