The state minister said that no timeframe has been taken regarding the operation to be taken in Waziristan against terrorists. Federal Minister for Water and Power, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that the government would not put burden of power stealing on bill payers and effective measures to be taken to stop over billing. Answering in response of call-attention notice of members Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), the minister said that action would be taken against Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) if proofs provided.
Amir Muqam of Pakistan Muslim League-Q raised the issue of sacking of nearly 4800 employees from NWFP and said that these employees have not been restored despite clear directives of the president and the prime minister. The member PML-Q also raised the issue of using of funds of Local Bodies Government by unelected people.
Asfandyar Wali of Awami National Party (ANP) has assured the house that both the issues to be taken up before the provincial government.
