"Whenever you get into the cockpit, the only thing you focus on is victory so I think all entrants will do their best," said Leon Ssenyange, the CMC general secretary.
The sprint will take place in Lubiri which offers some of the best viewing points for motorsport fans. "Lubiri creates a great atmosphere for both the drivers and fans. That's why as many as 25, 000 fans turn up for each event," Ssenyange said.
"I used to love racing in Lubiri but we have not been there since January, 2008. However, nothing has changed. The jumps look as exhilarating as ever," said renowned biker Arthur Blick.
However, Ssenyange can ill-afford to get consumed with organising the club event as he doubles as co-driver for teenager Shafique Ssemujju.
Ssemujju (Subaru N10) along with rising stars - Grace Lubega (Subaru N4), Muhammad Abdulsamad (Subaru version 6), Wycliffe Bukenya (Mitsubishi Evo. 7) and Nasser Mutebi (Subaru N4) - have torn the script to threads this season and will be the cars to watch.
"In Lubiri, the fast drivers always come out on top," George Ssemakula, Lubega's navigator, said after doing a practice run. Ponsiano Lwakataka (Subaru N8) and Ronald Ssebuguzi (Mitsubishi Evo. IV) will start as favourites.
