Vimeo Desktop Uploader streamlines the way content creators upload their videos to the site. Based on an Adobe Air desktop tool, the Vimeo Desktop Uploader allows users to upload multiple videos at the same time - up to ten at once! Creators can edit titles, tags and descriptions from within the software. Not only will Vimeo users avoid browser time-outs, but they can pause and resume their video uploads without having to start over from the beginning. "We constantly strive to improve the user-experience on the site," said Dae Mellencamp, General Manager of Vimeo.com. "Our community asked for this feature and we are happy to provide it." In the coming weeks, the site also plans to launch an advanced statistics function to its Vimeo Plus members. The stats feature provides extensive data on user-videos, both in aggregate and individually, including:
-- Daily breakdowns of likes, plays, comments HD vs SD plays, loads and
finishes;
-- Awesome referrer data;
-- Share and download stats;
-- Geo stats (see where people are watching from); and more!
