COIM USA to acquire polyurethane pre-polymers business of Air Products and Chemicals

Oct 19, 2009 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- APD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- COIM USA, Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire the polyurethane pre-polymers business, marketed under the Airthane(R) and Versathane(R) trade names, from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

COIM USA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of global polyurethane chemicals producer COIM SpA, while Air Products is a US-based producer of chemicals and industrial gases for the industrial, energy, technology, and healthcare markets.

The acquisition also includes Air Products manufacturing facility in Paulsboro, New Jersey, US.
