"It's amazing the amount of attention you get by simply wearing it," states Rob Norden, CEO of the Recom Group. "We are using a 2.8" Organic LED screen, which means it's not only environmentally friendly, but the clarity and brilliance is like no other display. Unlike an LCD display, you can see our bright screen from any angle and even from a good distance away. The applications are limitless. We first designed this for advertising and marketing, but people are also using it to promote their favorite sports team, show off their kids or just something to have fun with."
The Video Name Tag (VNT) is an Organic LED display that consumes much less energy than traditional LCD displays. This allows the VNT to run for hours on a single charge (typically 8 to 10 hours). It is packed with features making it more than just a simple Name Tag. The system comes with software and allows the user to create separate playlist folders for different content. "This means you can set up a different presentation in each folder," says Dave Reeves, Director of Sales & Marketing. "All you have to do is press a button on the side and the next set of videos and pictures automatically plays. This becomes a form of Personal Signage where you can present just the right content for your immediate audience."
Originally intended for in-store retail promotion, the VNT has become useful in far more applications than expected. Nicodemus Bernard, with Ed Hardy-Universal Tattoo explains, "We used their innovative Video Name Tags at our trade show and it was an instant hit. People were coming over to our booth specifically because they saw our products on the Video Name Tag. We intend on continuing the use of the Video Name Tags because they are an awesome sales tool that sets us apart from our competitors."
More information about the Video Name Tag can be found at www.VideoNameTag.com or through authorized agents and distributors. Recom Group is currently seeking additional distributors and sales agents for their Video Name Tag and PowerView brand products.
Los Angeles based Recom Group isn't new to technology. Under their PowerView brand they have been a pioneer in technology products for advertising and promotion. They designed and built the world's largest working laptop computer for AOL in 2006 and were a pioneer in solid state technology for commercial display applications.
