WHAT: In 2010, students will design, build, and test cars capable
of thousands of miles per gallon.
Shell Oil Company President Marvin Odum and Houston City
Council Member James Rodriguez, District I, to announce
plans for the 2010 Shell Eco-marathon Americas, a challenge
for students to design and build vehicles that use the
least amount of energy to travel the farthest distance.
University of Houston Alum Michael Jasch will also be on
hand to share the team's Eco-marathon experience and
expectations for the spring 2010 event. All parties will
take questions from media immediately following.
