Tidjane Thiam, chief executive officer of the company, discussed the issue of launching an IPO in the Asian stock market in Hong Kong days ago and now, it is assessing the benefit from a listing on any of the bourses, revealed insiders. Prudential raised USD 750 million from the Asian market this year, however, the demand locally is still strong. Asia will become a good capital source, Tidjane Thiam said in an interview last month.
Many foreign companies are considering a listing in the Asian market and those who plan to show a greater presence in the Chinese market prefer to get listed on the Shanghai bourse and those who cast eye on the Asian market prefer to get listed on the Hong Kong bourse.
