Cavium Networks' ecosystem partners will demonstrate a wide range of custom, flexible modular appliances, ATCA boards, and software solutions for OEMs within Cavium's meeting room# MR5444. Advantech will feature a compact 96-core modular appliance with dense I/O based on the OCTEON Plus processors. D2 Technologies will feature an OCTEON-based 2-port VoIP gateway, an ECONA ARM9-based 2-port VoIP gateway and a demo with a new OCTEON-based 8-port VoIP gateway. Kontron will showcase its ATCA 10GbE portfolio with the AM42xx series of AdvancedMC GbE/10GbE Intelligent IO Modules based on Cavium's OCTEON multi-core packet processor. The AM42xx AMC modules are optimized for layer 4 to 7 data and security processing, targeting 3G/4G BTS, RNC, xGSN and Media Gateways.
Cavium's OCTEON multi-core processors provide a scalable range from 1 to 32 cnMIPS(TM) cores on a single chip along with the most advanced networking, security and application hardware acceleration for next generation applications. The cnMIPS core is Cavium's custom implementation of MIPS64 release2, optimized for networking, and services with very low power consumption. Application hardware acceleration engines for QoS, packet processing, TCP, IPSec, KASUMI, SNOW 3G, RSA, and Deep Packet Inspection allow the family to deliver unmatched scalability, performance and integration for wireless infrastructure, common platform solutions. Flexible standards-based I/O's including gigabit Ethernet, 10 gigabit Ethernet, serial Rapid I/O (SRIO(TM)), PCI Express Gen 1 and 2, USB2.0, and Interlaken enable flexible, high-bandwidth network and system connectivity. OCTEON processors have been designed extensively into the leading Tier1 OEM platforms over the last 2 years.
