The Guardian Awards were held on Friday 16th October in Bangkok and were opened by his Excellency the Prime Minister of Thailand. Singapore Airlines has won Best Long Haul Airline for the 6th consecutive year and has claimed the top spot every year since the award was introduced back in 2004. The Guardian, Observer and gaurdian.co.uk Travel Awards are the longest running independent survey of their kind and are based on over 19 thousand independently evaluated questionnaires published in the group's newspapers and online.
These esteemed travel awards join a growing list of trophies that Singapore Airlines has been honoured with this year. Most recently the Business Traveller Awards where Singapore Airlines picked up five top awards which also Included Best Long Haul and Business Airlines plus an award for the Airlines famous Cabin Crew and Service.
