Workers from Cummins Filtration, including on-site leased workers from Manpower, in Lake Mills who totally or partially lost their jobs on or after August 26, 2008, through two years from the date of certification, are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance.
Workers can access these benefits by going to the local one-stop career center. The closest career center can be found by visiting www.servicelocator.org and entering a worker's home zip code. The closest one-stop career center to Lake Mills is the Workforce Development Partnership Region 2 located at 600 South Pierce Avenue in Mason City.
The Trade Adjustment Assistance Program is a federal program that provides aid to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages are reduced as a result of increased imports. The Trade Adjustment Assistance program offers a variety of benefits and reemployment services to help unemployed workers prepare for and obtain suitable employment. Workers may be eligible for training, job search and relocation allowances, income support, and other reemployment services.
