November is celebrated throughout the United States as National Hospice Month. This year marks the 24th year that Domino's Pizza in Hanover is dedicating 25 percent of sales on the first Sunday in November to the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice Program.
VNA Hospice is a service of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Hanover and Spring Grove and provides comfort and care to terminally ill patients and their families in Hanover, Spring Grove and Adams County.
Pizza can be ordered by calling Domino's Pizza on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 633-9411 (1012 Baltimore St.) or 632-9400 (625 W. Elm Ave.). Individual slices will be sold at both Wal-Mart stores from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Adams farm bureau elects officers
Daniel Wilkinson, a dairy farmer from Straban Township, has been elected president of the Adams County Farm Bureau.
The farm bureau's board met recently to reorganize for the year and also named the following additional officers: Mark Widerman of New Oxford, vice president; and Denise Shelleman of Biglerville, treasurer/secretary.
Windy Hill center hosts open house
Windy Hill Senior Center, 50 North East St., Spring Grove, will hold an open house 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27.
The center will be open to anyone 60 years or older. Attendees will be able to participate in a variety of activities that day including, games, Healthy Steps Exercise, musical entertainment by Paul Ledford, fall craft projects, free blood pressure checks.

Art council hosts Masquerade Party for tenth year
The Adams County Art Council will host their 10th Annual Masquerade Party on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. The party will be held at the Gettysburg Hotel with the theme of "Use Your Illusion."
The Colgan-Hirsh Band with the Slammin' Horns will provide music and prizes for most creative, scariest, sexiest, best celebrity look-alike, couple, group-theme and best of the party will be handed out. There will be a silent auction as well as complimentary Tarot card readings.
