BMC said that its customers will be able to use the combined Tideway Foundation and BMC Atrium solutions to gain an understanding of the relationships and dependencies of their physical assets and applications to their business services.
This solution provides new levels of IT visibility, expected to help organizations minimize the risks associated with business-critical initiatives such as data center consolidation, virtualization and compliance.
BMC claims that, these benefits are enabled by the open library of predefined IT configuration discovery patterns, the application dependency mapping and service modeling capabilities available and integration with BMC's Atrium Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
