The TaquaWorks solution was chosen by Reedsburg Utility, Farmers Mutual Telephone Company, B2B2C, Hunt Telecom, and Thomasville Utilities to deliver telecommunications services to their diverse subscriber bases that include residential and business customers.
TaquaWorks is an integrated solution that enables service providers to replace wireline and wireless switches and deploy converged, enhanced applications with the highest network security possible. The Taqua 7000 (T7000) wireline and wireless switching system allows service providers to replace Class 4/5 and wireless switching systems and deliver services over TDM and IP networks, as well as wireless GSM/CDMA, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. BroadSoft's BroadWorks suite of hosted Unified Communications, mobile PBX, business trunking and residential services are tightly coupled with the T7000 to deliver ssubscriber services to carriers of all sizes. By integrating Acme Packet's session border control (SBC), the TaquaWorks solution enhances network security for service providers by controlling the kinds of calls that can be placed through their IP networks. The SBC also delivers increased interoperability and service reliability by fixing or modifying protocols and protocol syntax to overcome issues that firewalls or other devices may cause across the IP network.

Stanton, Iowa-based Farmers Mutual Telephone Company is a rural, independent telecommunications company that provides local and long distance telephone service, wireless communications, cable television, and Internet services. B2B2C is an independent Internet service provider (ISP) offering voice and data services to residential and commercial customers in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Headquartered in Southeastern Louisiana, Hunt Telecommunications provides an integrated bundle of local and long distance services along with data communication services to small and medium-sized businesses throughout Louisiana. Thomasville Utilities provides cable television, Internet access, and telecom service to the residents in and surrounding Thomasville, Georgia.
