While official actual road tests are underway for the light truck tires at the Rubber Research Institute Tire lab, similar trials are being carried out on the motorcycle tires concurrently under the supervision of the Rubber Research Institute Tire Lab's protocol.
The test protocol consists of installed tires on rear axles of several motorcycles which are operating under company dispatch and general transit parameters. These actual in-use conditions generally provide substantial data due to the vast distances travelled over short periods of time at the levels required. The data generated during these trials are invaluable and will be reviewed and analysed thoroughly to provide information used to improve the performance and range of applications of the Magnum SRI custom compound. It may also be noted that the independently validated results by the RRI's Tire lab makes this data official and credible for users and other interested parties. This makes this achievement a major milestone as it is completed.
The specific tire types being evaluated are representative of the highest volume consumption variety in terms of world production and consumption with specific reference to India and China. This makes our initial work related to it and the data we generate very meaningful and have direct commercial impact in several markets.
