Operating revenue and operating profit separately jumped 13.7% and 14.7% to CNY 88.153 billion and CNY 34.778 billion. Net profit hit CNY 27.966 billion with a growth of 12.4%, and basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at CNY 1.243.
In the third quarter alone, net profit attributable to its shareholders amounted to CNY 8.744 billion, up 12.2% year on year. EPS reached CNY 0.44.
From January to September, Shenhua Energy turned out 158.8 million tons of commodity coal and sold 189.6 million tons of coal, mounting 15.2% and 10.4% from a year earlier, respectively.
The coal producer, also engaged in power generation, generated 71.95 billion kilowatt-hours (KWH), and sold 66.78 billion KWH, separately stepping down 4.8% and 4.9%.
