While ingredients in the two gooey confections are similar (as are the tastes), Nutella contains vanillin, an artificial flavor, while CocoaHaze!, like all Whole Foods products, contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Find CocoaHaze! in Whole Foods stores this month. A 12.3-ounce jar sells for $3.99.

Vermont-based Cabot Cheddar Cheese is, for many people, the standard by which to judge all other cheddars. (Sorry, Wisconsin).
Turns out it's also more local than we knew. Thirty of the 1,200 New England and upstate New York dairy farms that make up the Cabot Creamery Cooperative will hold an open farm day Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and three of those farms are in Connecticut.
The farmers are Joseph and Lois Greenbacker, 182 Wallingford Road, Durham; Tim Young, 210 Child Hill Road, Woodstock; and Larry and Meagan Hastings, 472 Hill St., Suffield. For details, go to www.OpenFarmSunday.com.

The Manischewitz Co., which produces specialty kosher food products in more than 60 categories, has just introduced a new all-natural, ready-to-serve broth available in three flavors: beef, chicken and reduced-sodium chicken. Suggested retail price is $1.69 for a 14-ounce can and $2.99 for a 32-ounce reusable carton.
The company also has invited renowned chef Jacques Pepin to judge its upcoming fourth annual Man-O-Manischewitz Cook-Off. This year's contest will feature recipes using the new broth. Pepin also will be creating some of his own recipes using it. For details, go to www.manischewitz.com.
More and more companies are making it possible for people with gluten sensitivities to eat, drink and be merry. Betty Crocker recently added brownie mix to its array of gluten-free products, which also includes yellow cake mix, devil's food cake mix and chocolate chip cookie mix.
