The IPN2.0 solutions will be used to upgrade Maroc Telecom's existing mobile packet core network, and are expected to considerably improve the company's 3G service capacity, traffic flow controllability, and mobile broadband service diversity. In detail, the IPN2.0 SUR and PCRF solutions can support the monitoring on consumer behaviors and refined management of broadband, respectively.
A Huawei executive said that besides Maroc Telecom, many of the world's leading mobile operators like T-Mobile and Telefonica SA (NYSE: TEF) were also realizing the value of the IPN2.0 solutions, which are estimated to help them remain profitable at a time when the prices of mobile broadband services are nearing their costs.
In addition, the Chinese company demonstrated its CDMA double-frequency solution at the P&T/EXPO COMM CHINA 2009 in Beijing in September 2009.
