TVGuide.com Launches "Plannerati" Contest Targeting Top Advertising Media Planners and Buyers in Tri-State Area

NEW YORK, Oct 29, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- LGF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- TVGuide.com, a one-stop entertainment destination reaching 20 million unique users per month, today announced the launch of a new contest, "TVGuide.com's Plannerati," that will give one lucky media planner or buyer a chance to win celebrity star treatment for a day. Designed to raise awareness of the value that TVGuide.com brings to advertisers while also recognizing best-of-class advertising executives, the contest will target top media planners and buyers in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area. "The Plannerati" kicks-off today and runs through November 12. It will include a grand prize of chauffeurs, stylists, makeovers and a night on the town with a cast member from Lionsgate's Emmy(R) winning AMC drama "Mad Men."

One hundred of the top media planners and buyers in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area have been nominated by TVGuide.com to participate in the contest; alternatively, a media planner or buyer may also participate by being nominated by friends, family or co-workers. Once nominated, the participants must complete a personal profile to highlight their strengths and why they deserve to win. Throughout the contest the nominees will earn points when others go online and vote for them. On November 13, the winner who earns the most points will be announced and will redeem the grand prize of 24-hour celebrity treatment during the week of November 16. VIP treatment includes:

-- Paparazzi following the winner's every move

-- Dinner and drinks at an upscale restaurant with a "Mad Men" cast member, as well as a one-on-one appearance with the cast member to be featured on TVGuide.com

-- All day limousine service

-- Lunch at a local diner, where a sandwich will be named after the winner
