DJ METALS MOVER: Reade Joins Credit Suisse Precious Metals Team

CS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Investment bank Credit Suisse Group (CS) Thursday said it has hired metals analyst John Reade to become head of Credit Suisse's precious metals research team from January 2010.
Reade was previously metal strategist and head of commodity strategy at UBS AG (UBS), where he worked for more than a decade.
Aside from precious metal research, Reade will also help develop the bank's overall metals research effort. He will work closely with Adam Knight, global head of Credit Suisse's Commodities Alliance and the rest of the commodity team to develop the bank's research franchise in commodities, the bank said.
Prior to UBS, Reade worked as a mining engineer in South Africa and as a gold equity analyst.
Reade will be based in London and will report to the Bunt Ghosh, Global Head of Fixed Income and Economics Research.
