The company explained that, designed to assist operators to quickly and efficiently roll out 3GPP LTE services, Powerwave's recently introduced 700 MHz antenna line for 4G networks consists of a single-band antenna covering 698-896 MHz bands and a dual-band offering covering both the 698-896 MHz and 1710-2170 MHz bands. Offering high efficiency, low interference and gain per length, the wideband antennas enable Auction 73 winners the flexibility of a graduated approach to 4G deployment with the added benefit of Powerwave's reliability - enabling streamlined installation of new services leveraging 700 MHz spectrum at existing 800 MHz cell sites without increasing the number of visible antennas, Powerwave reported.
