October 30, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Diane C. Creel has been elected to the board of EnPro Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NPO). She is the retired chairman, chief executive officer and president of Ecovation, Inc., a green technology company providing wastewater treatment solutions to companies in the food and beverage industries.
In a previous position, Creel was the first woman to hold the chief executive position of a publicly held engineering firm in the United States, when she served as chairman, chief executive officer and president of Earth Tech, Inc.
Creel is also a director of Allegheny Technologies Inc. and Goodrich Corp.. Her election to the EnPro board follows the board's expansion to nine members.
Charlotte, North Carolina-based EnPro Industries offers sealing products, metal polymer and filament wound bearings, compressor systems and components, diesel and dual-fuel engines and other engineered products.
