Presently, related works are in progress, and a batch of Sinopec Group's best-performing overseas assets will be injected into the listed company this yearend at the earliest.
The group's overseas oilfield assets are dotted in Russia, Angola, Ecuador, Syria, Australia, Canada, Kazakhstan, and Burma now. China. From 2006 to 2008, it turned out 4.52 million tons, 6.87 million tons, and 9 million tons of overseas equity oil, respectively.
Sinopec Group spent about USD 7.56 billion acquiring Addax Petroleum, an oil and gas producer in Switzerland, in mid August, so its 2009 overseas equity oil output is planned at 17.4 million tons. However, the buyer has never considered infuse Addax Petroleum into Sinopec, according to the latter's chairman, Su Shulin.
