Market share reached 8.73 percent, letting the insurer rank number three in the Chinese financial hub. Standard premium revenue it gained from personal insurance products sold in the nine months hit CNY 110 million, soaring 47.69 percent year on year. The branch has maintained a strong momentum in personal insurance since 2007 and the monthly premium revenue it gained from such insurance exceeded CNY 20 million from the second quarter of this year. In the meantime, the number of its marketing persons touched about 1,996 as at September 30, compared to 1,500 at the start of the year and up around 30 percent from a year ago.
The premium revenue New China Life captured from bancassurance in the nine months stood at CNY 2.77 billion, with market share of 17.3 percent.
