The Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday revoked the license of Capt. Timothy Cheney and his copilot after their plane recently overshot its Minneapolis destination by 150 miles.
The FAA concluded the pair acted recklessly after reviewing the following "tweets" Cheney posted before the plane took off from San Diego and while it was in the air:

On runway. Preparing for another takeoff. Borrring.

Turned on the ignition. This sucker is ready to roll.

Airborne -- finally! Autopilot on, shoes off. Time to relax a bit.

Man, the Times crossword puzzle sure is difficult today.

DO NOT like the new Facebook format AT ALL. Why did they mess with success?

These Salsa-flavored Sun Chips are pretty good. Ever have them?

Too much squawking coming from Air Traffic Control. Giving me a headache.

Found a nice contemporary hits radio station to listen to for duration of the flight.

Those Black Eyed Peas really are something, aren't they? "I gotta feeling ..."

Killed bag of Sun Chips, but have revised my opinion. They would be better with dip.

Still better than the stale pretzels we give to the passengers.

Amazing how crowded your e-mail inbox can get in just a few hours. I have to monitor it more frequently while flying.

Sure seems like we've been in the air for a long time.

Just got promoted to Level 81 in Mafia Wars! Go me!
--Flyboy09
Had to look under my seat when I dropped my Nintendo DS stylus. Disgusting down there. Sun Chips and toenail clippings.

Note to self: Buy a Dirt Devil for in-flight use.
--Flyboy09
Holy Moses! Just realized we overshot Minneapolis a tad.

Just turned plane around. Hope to knock off a chapter or two of Glenn Beck's new book before landing.
