Telephonics Lands Contracts for C-17 Communication Systems

MGSY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Telephonics, a subsidiary of Griffon, announced that its Communication Systems Division received two contract awards from The Boeing Company for production and support of C-17 Communication Open System Architecture (COSA) Integrated Radio Management Systems (IRMS).
The groups reported that the value of the contracts is in excess of $35M. Delivery of the first system is expected in late 2010.
"Telephonics is proud to support Boeing and the U.S. Air Force to enable communications for the C-17 and its dedicated crews serving our nation's military missions," said Phil Nicholas, President of Telephonics' Communication Systems Division. "Our facilities and skilled workforce remain dedicated to providing our nation and its military services with the most capable communications equipment available."
Telephonics Communication Systems Division (CSD) is a designer and provider of secure communication systems for military air, land and sea operations. CSD's communication products serve a variety of fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and ground control shelters and allow users to communicate voice and data.
