Emtec was responsible for designing and implementing an integrated network for the entertainment complex which included updating the existing network and back-end financial systems, while encompassing a security system that would segregate traffic according to gaming commission regulations.
Indiana Live! Casino was previously operated out of a 70,000-square-foot temporary tent facility while the permanent facility was being constructed. Emtec was brought on-board in August 2008 to make modifications to the network which supports all casino operations, including 2,000 slot machines, electronic gaming tables, six bars, one nightclub and three restaurants.
"Given the expertise Emtec brings, we knew they would provide a seamless transition from our temporary casino to our new facility," said Don Kneisel, VP of Information Technology for the Cordish Company-Gaming Operations. "We were focused on three specific areas that comprised of security, wireless capabilities and an integrated network. Emtec was able to deliver on all of these aspects and did so in a condensed time period. I am thoroughly impressed with Emtec and have already recommended them to others in the industry."
