The AUIPS2051L and AUIPS2052G feature a 70V active clamp and provide a set of protection features. IR said the devices shut down in the event of over-temperature or over-current conditions, restarting once the input is turned off and turned on again, and provide the diagnostic information via a serial resistor connected to the input pin. Furthermore, the AUIPS205x family is designed using IR's 75V technology making them well suited to any 24V automotive loads such as solenoids or as electromechanical relay replacements.
"To address the design challenges of today's junction box applications, these robust new 75V devices are capable of operating repetitively under short circuit conditions for extended periods for greater reliability," said Fabio Necco, product marketing manager, IR's Automotive Products Business Unit.
The AUIPS2052G is a dual channel device while the AUIPS2051L is a single channel device. The turn-on and turn-off time are optimized to minimize noise in EMI sensitive automotive applications. Both devices also provide ESD protection and low current and logic level input, the company noted.
The devices are qualified according to AEC-Q100 standards, feature an environmentally friendly, lead-free and RoHS compliant bill of materials, and are part of IR's automotive quality initiative targeting zero defects.
