As a result the process will not affect passengers, as passenger charges will continue to be included in the price of airfares.
GAP reported on 19 October that certain airlines would no longer be collecting passenger charges and that passengers booking with these airlines would be required to pay such charges directly to the airport rather than as part of the airline ticket price.
The administrative process portion of the agreement between GAP and the airlines has however not yet been completed and in the case of one of the carriers being unable to complete this process the passenger charges would need to be collected at the airport in the future.
