AAON, the Tulsa-based rooftop heating and air conditioning manufacturer, has now seen profits fall during two straight quarters.
Revenues for the manufacturer also dropped 26 percent during the third quarter to $58.5 million, compared to $79.3 million during the same period in 2008.
"We expect the downturn in the economy which we experienced to an even greater extent in the third quarter will continue to impact our business for the foreseeable future," said AAON CEO Norman Asbjornson.
AAON Inc. has about 1,000 employees at its Tulsa headquarters and another factory in Longview, Texas.
