The commissioner of Rumbek North (Maper) county had ordered torture of two youth from his county on September 1, 2009 in the remote area of Maper which is at 75 miles from Rumbek Central county, the capital of Lakes state.
The two youth: Maliet Marial Abol and Mangok Dhuor-riak Noon, told Sudan Tribune that the Commissioner had accused them of being cattle raiders. The young men actually wanted to warn about an attack against Maper area by Warrap youth but the commissioner ordered their torture.
"You are summoned to appear before this court on November 9, 2009 at 8:30am to answer a civil suit between you and Magok Dhur-riak, Maliet Marial. Please failure is not allowed" said first grade judge Buot Puat Yat, in written summoned send to Bileu today.
The suspended commissioner refused to comment over this summon saying that he will defense himself.
Lakes state Deputy Governor and Minister for Local Government and Law Reinforcement Agency, Lt. Col David Nok Marial has issued out re-suspension letter last month demanding Commissioner John Bileu Awol to answer suitcases of tortures leveled against him by two cousin young boys belonged to his county.
Amnog the five charges leveled against Mr. Beliu Awol, the deputy governor wrote "you have tortured and burnt the lips of two young men (2) Looting of the properties from families of the same victims (eight) 8 H/C and one (1) goat. (3) Violent act towards the victims."
However, the commissioner of Rumbek North County refused to react to the letter of suspension on October 23, 2009; as his county-men welcomed the decision taken by minister of local government Lt. Col. David Nok Marial.
