Telular: 500K Households and Businesses Using Telguard Digital Cellular Alarm

Nov 04, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- WRLS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Telular, a developer of wireless communications technology, announced that half a million households and businesses are now using Telguard Digital cellular alarm solutions to protect their families, property, and assets.

Telular said its portfolio of UL-listed solutions enables security dealers to provide primary and backup wireless alarm communication solutions for residential and commercial customers over the cellular network.

"We are extremely happy that a Monitronics Authorized dealer installed Telular's 500,000th cellular system," said Mitch Clarke, VP of marketing and business development at Monitronics. "We look forward to continuing to build on our successful relationship with Telular and reach the next half a million installations."

Telguard Digital solutions are designed in response to dealer requirements for systems that reduce installation costs and boost recurring monthly revenue (RMR). Telguard Digital solutions transmit alarm signals over the air if the telephone line has been disrupted, compromised, or when no wireline service is available from virtually all security and fire systems to central stations.

Additionally, Telular said its Telguard Online account management system streamlines activations. With multi-level user authorization, security dealers can register, configure, and view subscriber activity for 24/7 account management.
